Bounceboard ®  B²

Directions For Use

1.       Read and Follow All the Safety Instructions.

a.       For use on trampolines meeting ASTM safety standards.

2.       Remove shoes. Use Bounceboard ®  B² in bare or stocking feet. Stocking feet are recommended.

3.       Put on safety gear.

a.       For extreme training or tricks: mouth guard, helmet and wrist guards, kneepads and elbow pads should be worn.   Mouth guard strongly recommended. Save your teeth, prevent a concussion. Ask your dentist for a custom mouth guard, the kind you can drink, speak and breath well with. Or for a couple bucks you can get a boil and bite mouth guard. A life preserver should be worn for floatable trampoline use.

4.       Climb on jumping device. One at a time!

5.       Sit in middle of trampoline and fasten foot straps.

6.       Lean forward on knees and stand up.

7.       Gently start bouncing up and down to get the feel of it.

8.       8. While keeping head erect, focus eyes on the perimeter of the trampoline.

9.       9. Practice a Stop-Bounce. Flex knees as you come into contact with the jumping surface to stop bouncing.

a.       It is just like landing for a snowboard or wakeboard trick. Working on the trampoline will condition the muscles you need for landing other board tricks.

10.   Start practicing tricks when you feel comfortable. Pictured on the "Photos" page of the Bounceboard website are a few of the inventor's favs. Please no somersaults, flips or back flips unless you are under the supervision of a professional trainer. You run the risk of head and neck injuries, which can be very serious, causing paralysis and even death.

a.       Do not put your hands all the way through the hand holes. They are for grabbing only. Let go of the board before landing.

11.   Never jump off the land trampoline to dismount. Remove the Bounceboard ®  B² by kneeling down or sitting on the bed of the trampoline. Release foot straps and climb off the trampoline. Never jump from a trampoline into a pool and never jump off a roof to land on your trampoline. Water makes the surface of a land trampoline too slippery. Save those water tricks for the floating water trampolines.

12.   Store the Bounceboard ®  B² out of reach of animals or young children.

13.   If you are using a water trampoline, you may enjoy dismounting with the Bounceboard ®  B² still attached to your feet. It's not as tight as your snow or wakeboard binding, having velcro® straps.Be prepared for belly flops and please watch out for swimmers and obstacles. Please wear a life preserver and never dive unless you are certain the water is deep enough. Swimming will be difficult and you may have to dog paddle before the Bounceboard ®  B² will slip off your feet, much like a wave board will slip off your feet. Water dismounts are only recommended if you are a strong swimmer. Practice swimming with the Bounceboard ®  B² in shallow water with a spotter nearby to make sure you can swim with the Bounceboard ®  B² on your feet and safely remove the Bounceboard ®  B² in the water. Bounceboard ®  B² will float because it is made of closed cell polyethylene foam but it is not a life preserver. When you use the Bounceboard ®  with water applications it will be very slippery.

14.   Have Fun. This is an extreme sport and requires quite a bit of athletic ability. Users of Bounceboard ®  B² use at own risk much like snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding, wakeskating and kiteboarding. You may wish to contact the manufacturer for more information on Bounceboard ®  B² and these other extreme sports at www.NorthShoreInc.com

15.   Do not use your Bounceboard ®  B² for your backyard trampoline, Aqua Jump® or similar jumping device when under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

16.   Ensure that spotters are always stationed around the land trampoline. Do not use a floatable trampoline without a spotter on land or in a boat nearby.

a.       The surface will be slippery when wet. Be prepared and start out slowly. If you have a trampoline with an enclosure do not bounce off the sides of the enclosure.

17.   Master the specified prerequisites of trampoline jumping before attempting a new skill such as using a Bounceboard ®  B².

18.   Do not attempt to use the Bounceboard ®  B² in windy or gusty conditions or if the trampoline bed surface is wet. Not recommended for use in inclement weather.

19.   To avoid damage to the Bounceboard ®  B² use only on trampolines with padding covering the springs.
